Gilbert welcomes new breakfast place
March 5, 2013 by James
Breakfast is often said to be the most important meal of the day, and the town of Gilbert was given another way to enjoy it when a second ‘The Egg I Am’ restaurant opened its doors yesterday, March 4.
The new restaurant kicked things off in a great way. On March 3, it hosted a pre-opening day, the purpose of which was to give the new staff a chance to train and try out their new skills. All proceeds from the day were donated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central arizona. Leslie Zschokke, Director of Development for the beneficiary, stated that she was grateful for the restaurant’s support and excited about the partnership.
Gilbert’s new The Egg I Am is the second in the city and the 73rd restaurant opened in the chain. The first The Egg I Am opened in Colorado in 1987. Gilbert brochure printers can help spread the word of the franchise’s newest location by printing up menus to distribute to area residents.
It is hoped that the new restaurant will have a positive impact on the economy in the town. So far, it has provided 30 new jobs in the community. According to Annette Ruder, the community has welcomed the restaurant with open arms. She stated that she is excited about the restaurant’s continued involvement with the Gilbert community.
The Egg I Am will open its doors each morning at 6:00 am. It serves breakfast and lunch in a full-service, casual atmosphere Monday through Friday until 2:00 pm, or 2:30 pm at weekends. The new location is at 3321 E. Queen Creek Road.
