Chandler restaurant to host night of family fun

September 7, 2013 by

Individuals and families from Chandler and surrounding communities are invited to come out for an evening of food and entertainment.

Next weekend, El Palacio Restaurant and Cantina will be hosting the Rockin’ Taco Street Fest. The establishment may be working with a print company to design and produce promotional flyers for this event.

Highlights of the bash will include taco eating and mustache competitions, each of which will reward the winner with a $100 cash prize. Attendees of 21 years of age or older will have the opportunity to sample margaritas and beer.

The event will also feature live entertainment. The night will include two Ballet Folklorico shows and a concert from the Latino Rebel Band. DJ Hanzerelli will keep the crowd well-occupied between these performances by playing a number of hit songs.

A variety of vendors will be at the Street Fest to sell snacks and handicrafts. In addition, artists will be giving demonstrations and offering guided art projects for those who visit their booths.

Children will play in a special ‘kid zone’, where they will have a chance to hit piñatas filled with candy and toys. Attendees will also be able to enter a raffle and win a vacation for two to Ensenada, Mexico.

The Rockin’ Taco Street Fest is set for Saturday, September 14, and will run from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Tickets will cost $5 for each attendee over 12 years old and will be free for children under 12. The festivities will take place at 2950 East Germann Road.
