County fair returning to Casa Grande

Casa Grande is gearing up to host five consecutive days of family fun later this month, as the Pinal County Fair will be returning to town for its 58th year. Poster printing has likely been on the increase as the organizers of this well-established event prepare for the opening day.

The fair will offer entertainment for visitors of all ages. Those who attend will be able to enjoy classic carnival rides and games, as well as watch local livestock compete for prizes. This year’s festivities will also include shows from magicians, frisbee-catching dogs, and multi-talented birds.

Live music will be plentiful throughout the duration of the event. Artists scheduled to take the stage include country singer Meghan Linsey, the Latin-inspired Kumbia Kings All Starz, and a locally-based doo-wop band called The Keepsakes.

Attendees will find a variety of foods available for sampling during their time at the fair. These treats will include fried bread, pulled pork sandwiches, Italian sausages, funnel cakes, and cotton candy. Vendors will also be selling the likes of handmade jewelry, carvings, and pottery.

The Pinal County Fair will run from Wednesday, March 19, through Sunday, March 23. Opening times and admission costs will vary. Tickets for unlimited carnival rides will be available for purchase.
