This classic tale, written by Roald Dahl, is a timeless story about a candy man who is looking for his heir, only to find that his heir has come to life. This is a fantastic stage adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and features many of the songs so well loved in the original storyline. Some of the magical songs that will stir memories to life are Pure Imagination, Candy Man, and Oompa Loompa, plus I Want It Now which was composed by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bruicusse who both received an Academy Award and a Grammy. This play features a large flexible cast of students performing various roles including that of “Tour-de-force” as the main character in the title role.
