Help support the Friends of the Pink Palace Museum

The 40th annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair will take place at Audubon Park not too far from now and over 25,000 people are expected to attend. Proceeds go to support the Friends of the Pink Palace Museum and, through them, the Memphis Museum System.

In addition to arts and crafts for sale the fair will feature children’s art activities such as spin art, face painting, a petting zoo, and craft tent demonstrations. The types of crafts that will be demonstrated will include glass blowing, beekeeping, decoy creation, and soap making. Arts and crafts will include such items as jewelry, ceramics, paintings, photographs, and textiles. The demonstrations and the variety of arts and crafts for sale should ensure that everyone in the family will be able to find something that interests them over the three-day fair.

Those who will be selling their arts and crafts were chosen by a jury and, once they are accepted, they can rent space for $345 or $395. Food booths rent for $350 and vendor fees, electricity, and a health permit cost extra. Memphis printing companies will no doubt be helping those who are chosen prepare for this popular annual event. By providing services such as banner printing, sign printing, and flyer printing, they can ensure that each booth will get the attention it deserves from those passing by.

Taking place over the course of October 12 – 14, admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for children under 12. Alternatively, a two-day pass is available for $12.
