Festival to light up the Memphis night

March 3, 2017 by

The Lantern Light Festival is taking place at the end of this month, then reoccurring every weekend until early May.

The festival features displays of hand-crafted lanterns that will light up the night sky. Visitors will have the opportunity to make their own.

There will be a range of live entertainment including displays by Chinese acrobats and live music, along with plenty of children’s activities such as face painting, inflatables, mini golf, and train rides. Virtual reality rides can be enjoyed, as can dragon and lion rides. Visitors can also try their hand at Mining for Emeralds, or strive not to get lost in the Forbidden City maze. Most activities will require tickets.

A variety of traditional Asian foods will be available for purchase as will souvenirs. There are also set to be several fireworks displays.

This festival will no doubt attract families from all over the Memphis area, many of whom will find out about it from advertising flyers or posters displayed throughout the city.

The Lantern Light Festival will be held at Agricenter International from March 31 to May 7, and will only be open from Friday to Sunday. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $16 for children between the ages of 3 and 12, while a child’s activity pack is $20. VIP tickets are also available for $49.
