Contest looks to find the best burger in Memphis

July 17, 2016 by

The Best Memphis Burger Fest is taking place in the city next month. A portion of all proceeds will go to Memphis Paws.

There will be over 40 teams competing in the festival for such awards as Veggie Burger, Best Memphis Burger, and Specialty Burger. On a side note, there will also be an award for Best Bloody Mary. Visitors will be able to purchase samples of most of the competitors’ burgers.

In addition to the burger competition, visitors can enjoy live musical entertainment, enter a slider eating race, or visit a number of pets available for adoption. The KidZone will have lots of children’s activities for a $5 entry fee and $10 for unlimited activities, which include a pickle eating contest. There will also be a cornhole tournament and various vendors on hand to sell a variety of pet-related merchandise.

VIP tickets are available for $50, which includes beer sampling, two KidZone passes, a souvenir cup, a T-shirt, and an event poster.

This event has raised over $26,000 for Memphis Paws. Local stationery printers are often asked to provide items such as postcards for advertising events like this.

The Best Memphis Burger Fest will be held at Tiger Lane on August 28 from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Tickets are $10 each. To find out more about this event, or about Memphis Paws, call 901-626-9892.
