Annual conference brings parents and professionals together

February 4, 2017 by

The MidSouth Autism Conference (MAC 2017) is taking place at the end of next month for three days. It is hosted by the Transformations Autism Treatment Center.

This conference attracts parents, caregivers, teachers, specialists, and individuals with autism from all over the region. There will be keynote addresses from Jed Baker, Carol Kranowitz, Michael Tolleson, Derek Volk, and others. Attendees can choose between four tracks of seminars: medical, legal, parent and professional. Topics of discussion in the past have included learning adult social skills and communication development.

Vendors will also be on hand to provide information on their programs and services related to the treatment of autism.

Sponsorships are available from $100 up to $3,000. Sponsors will have the opportunity to place items such as coupons, samples, and informational pamphlets in the gift bag that all attendees will receive.

Memphis print companies are often asked by companies to provide the type of promotional products that are placed in gift bags. This often includes fridge magnets, pens, and money-off coupons.

The MidSouth Autism Conference will be held at the Guesthouse at Graceland from Marcy 30 to April 1. Fees are $150 for professionals and $57 for parents, paraprofessionals and others, while those on the autism spectrum are admitted free of charge.
