Racing, music, and food mash-up to brighten Jackson

The Twilight Run and Rooftop Rendezvous is set be a thrilling combination of a 5K race and a rooftop dinner party accompanied by talented musicians playing live music.

Businesses within Jackson have an opportunity to get involved in the race. For example, working with banner printing companies could be an excellent way to make sponsorship known.

The 5K race will wind through the streets of midtown Jackson during the sunset, providing a picturesque scene to all who are involved. The rooftop dinner party will nourish participants and their families for a modest fee of $10 per person.

There is also a one-mile run to get in a quick workout and support charity for those who cannot participate in the 5K.

All proceeds from the race go to the West TN Healthcare Foundation Heaven’s Cradle Fund. Started two years ago, the Heaven’s Cradle Fund is in memory of Gary and Abby Lackey’s son in an effort to comfort others in times of stress and loss.

The race is on June 6, and late registration and live music will kick off the evening at 5:30, an hour before the Twilight Run. The Rooftop Rendezvous is held at Parking Garage #3, 700 W. Forest immediately following the run.

For all who wish to further support the Heaven’s Cradle Fund, you can buy T-shirts for $15 each. One free shirt will go to each participant in the 5K run. The Rooftop Rendezvous is not limited solely to participants and families – anyone willing to pay the $10 cover is welcome.
