April 4, 2014 by

The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival is returning to Humboldt for a week this May.

This popular event helps to celebrate the growing and marketing of strawberries in the area. It also features musical performances, a horse show, beauty contests, 5K and 10K runs, parades, a car show, and a tractor show, ensuring something suitable for those of all ages.

There are also carnival rides, fireworks displays, food for purchase, a barbecue cookoff, and an art exhibition. The Arts in the Park event will take place during two days of the festival, and this will feature handmade arts and crafts for sale by area artisans.

Several social events are also set to take place during the week, including the President’s and Hall of Fame receptions.

This festival has been attracting visitors from all over West Tennessee, including Jackson, for 76 years. Local print companies are often hired by organizers of events such as these to provide marketing materials to help inform the community. These materials can include items like brochures or flyers which can be easily and inexpensively distributed.

The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival is taking place at Spangler Park in Humboldt from May 4 to 11. Various activities, such as carnival rides and the horse show, have separate ticket prices. To find out more about this annual event, call 731-784-1842.
