Introduce your home-based business
May 13, 2012 by Mark
The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce are presenting a ribbon cutting for home-based and out of town businesses in the Chamber board room on June 19 from 3pm – 4pm. This is a free event but space is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
Companies will have a table in which to showcase their products and services. Before the ribbon cutting, home-based businesses should arrange with Jackson brochure printers to provide them with a brochure about their business and/or a catalog to showcase what they have to offer. Also, arranging for business card printing in advance will ensure they have enough cards to pass on to everyone who attends the ribbon cutting.
When we think of a ribbon cutting we often think of brick and mortar stores or businesses, overlooking those who work from home. It is often hard for home-based businesses to get noticed by the larger business community. Many of the business owners are the only employees of the company and are responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. They don’t always have time to network as much as they would like to and as a result have a harder time getting new business. It is the same with those out of town businesses that are operated by business leaders living in a different town; they have to fight for attention from their local chamber of commerce, who can offer both of these types of business owners the same services they provide to other more traditional businesses.
