WMBF News to host blood drives in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach residents have a chance to help others when WMBF News hosts a blood drive in the community next week.
WMBF News says it will be ‘In Your Community’ to host drives in both Florence and Myrtle Beach. The drive is sponsored by the Carolinas Hospital System.
The American Red Cross says donating blood can make a great difference in others’ lives, since a pint of blood may be able to save as many as three lives. In Myrtle Beach, donors should plan to go to the Coastal Grand Mall and will receive a T-shirt for doing so, as well as a pair of tickets to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ opening weekend. The Pelicans are the Texas Rangers’ farm team and part of the Carolina League. One donor will win a baseball autographed by the Rangers.
The drive is slated for March 26, and WMBF News is to begin broadcasting live at the Magnolia Mall in Florence, as well as Myrtle Beach’s Coastal Grand Mall, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on that day. Donors should plan to make an appointment by calling the Red Cross or visiting its website.
To publicize the drive, event organizers could work with a poster or flyer printing company to have handouts made up for distribution on the day.
