October 16, 2012 by Mark
The Park West Recreation Complex in Mount Pleasant will be the host for the 25th annual Children’s Day Festival held in the town this weekend. The town is likely to be using flyer printing and poster printing to enable families and children to plan their upcoming weekend and be able to celebrate the arrival of the fall season. Special Event Planner Nicole Harvey explained that the theme of the event is ‘Under the Big Top’ which will focus on the circus and its magical world.
On offer will be a variety of activities and entertainment of no charge to attendees. Some of the activities will include trackless train rides by Re/Max Advanced Realty, mechanical rides, giant inflatable attractions, a petting zoo, pony rides, balloon art, face painting, game booths, a reptile exhibit, and non-profit exhibit booths related to children. Many giveaways and prizes, as well as Halloween bags, will also be sent home with the kids.
Entertainment will be both local and professional in nature. Suzuki Guitar, various dance groups, karate schools, and cheerleaders will be among the local entertainment while professional entertainment will feature fire-eating unicyclist Mark Lippard, Cupcake the Clown, Johnny Peers, songwriter and kazoo-player Rick Hubbard, the Revolve Aerial Dance, and a slapstick comedy act known as the Muttville Comix, which has been seen in the Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey Circus and on David Letterman.
The Festival will run from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm this Sunday, October 21.
