Unique restaurant to join downtown Greenville

Kris and Margaret Furniss, owners of Caviar & Bananas, have announced that they will be opening a new location of their restaurant in Greenville early this month.

The new eatery will be 4,700 square feet in size, including seating outdoors, and will have a menu similar to that of their two restaurants in Charleston, although it will be updated to reflect the culture of the local community. Made-to-order sandwiches and salads, baked goods, an expresso and tea bar, and craft beers and wine will be offered. Other services of Caviar & Bananas will include delivery and a menu of catering items that can be either delivered or picked up.

According to Kris Furniss, the goal of the restaurant is to pay attention to detail in the creation of every menu item.

Mayor Knox White of Greenville stated that the city is excited about the addition of Caviar & Bananas to the downtown area, adding that its location will provide easy access to pedestrians as they shop and enjoy the downtown area.

The restaurant will be opening this Friday, August 5, and the owners may be turning to banner printing companies to help draw attention to their location at One City Plaza, thus ensuring the community is aware of the new eatery.

The couple will be opening another location in 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee.
