The South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP) recently announced that it will begin offering its educational courses and seminars late this month at its new training facility and headquarters in Greenville. The non-profit group is no doubt using flyer printing and poster printing to announce the opening of its new facility and the availability of its wide range of courses.

The SCMEP is a private, non-profit group that partners with businesses in South Carolina to help them with developing innovative solutions and strategies to help them become more competitive, build their leadership, increase growth, and eliminate waste. The organization works to improve the performance and the profitability of the businesses with which it works.

For manufacturers, the SCMEP teaches those manufacturing and frontline skills that enable success in any industry. By using a “learn by doing” environment, the organization teaches such skills as method and job improvement and leadership. In the new facility, manufacturers will also be able to obtain certifications from the International Organization for Standardization and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration. Those who provide the training for these courses are certified Innovation Engineering Black Belts in South Carolina.

The SCMEP also provides a one-day on-site Competitiveness Review for no charge to small and medium-sized businesses in South Carolina. This is an assessment tool that the organization developed and is used to evaluate the operations of a company to find those key areas needing improvement, so as to be more effective in its competition.
