Greenville to be home of Chuy’s restaurant

Chuy’s restaurant recently announced that it will be opening its first restaurant in South Carolina in Greenville on Woodruff Road in July of this year.

This is to be the latest in a string of restaurants that have opened or are planning to open along Woodruff Road, including Tablefields, Dave and Buster’s, Toby Keith’s I Love this Bar and Grill, and Big Daddy’s Burger Bar.

With 42 restaurants in nine states, Chuy’s cuisine is primarily southwestern in nature with such offerings as enchiladas, chile rellenos, burritos and plenty of other reasons to get a local print company to make up some eye-catching menus.

According to the person who be managing the construction, hiring, and opening of the restaurant, Brad Smith, the company is looking forward to introducinh Chuy’s fare to the Upstate community. Smith believes that Chuy’s is a perfect fit for Greenville as it is a city with a tight-knit community based on a family culture and enjoys its food. In addition, the Woodruff Road location is a central one in the town and should attract many customers.

The restaurant will be next to Capel Rugs near the Verdae Boulevard intersection and will be 7,200 square feet in size. It will be open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner. It will also be offering curb-side takeout and catering services for parties to go. The company is based in Austin, Texas and has been serving up its southwestern cuisine since 1982.
