Greenville Christmas Walk gets into stride next weekend

December 9, 2012 by

The Greenville Christmas Walk provides families a chance to get outside, share some quality time together, and raise money for a great cause. The walk is presented by the Greenville Track Club and is new holiday fundraising event in which the emphasis is away from running. The park will be lit like never before and guests will think they are walking in a Winter Wonderland, with the feature tree in this display standing at more than 40 feet tall. Music will be piped throughout the park during the Christmas walk.

This walk was created using the idea of the very successful Santa run that is always held in Cleveland Park the weekend after this one. During the walk, there will be live carolers stationed around the area and singing everyone’s favorite Christmas and holiday songs. While walking, participants will have access to two individual refreshment stands and will pass several decked out 25-foot Christmas trees.

All the adults participating in the walk will receive a souvenir ‘Christmas walk’ coffee mug, and the children will receive Santa hats. Proceeds from this event will be given to the Loaves & Fishes, Triune Mercy Center, Miracle Hill, United Ministries, and the Angel Tree, plus a few other organizations.

The Greenville Track Club may have used various printing services to make sure this event is successful. The Greenville Christmas Walk will be held on Saturday, December 15, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Greenville County Square located at 301 University Ridge in Greenville, South Carolina. To find out the cost to participate in this walk, please visit the Greenville Christmas Walk website or call Nancy Sue at 864-404-9020 during business hours.
