Grand re-opening of Pineville restaurant held
December 16, 2012 by Mark
Sweet Tea’s, located in Pineville, North Carolina, held a grand re-opening dinner at the start of December after several months of renovations to its store at on 9101 Pineville Matthews Road. The restaurant no doubt used flyer printing and poster printing to announce this grand reopening to the public so that customers who may not be familiar with the restaurant will try it out.
A Bi-Lo grocery store anchors the shopping plaza in which Sweet Tea’s is located and there is a pizza place right next door. According to the Food Network star and host of Restaurant Impossible, Robert Irvine, who has been shooting the latest episode of that show, this may pose a challenge for the small and unassuming restaurant. He added, however, that the opaque plastic on the doors and windows which have helped to protect many from getting a sneak peek inside the restaurant may make the restaurant more attractive to potential customers.
Sweet Tea’s is open six days a week and serves a variety of dishes for both lunch and dinner. Specialties of the restaurant include Fried Green Tomatoes and Joshes Stuffed Shrooms as appetizers, along with soups and Dana’s BBQ Grilled Chicken Salad and a special Chicken Caesar Salad. Subs and sandwiches are also available and include a bacon, lettuce, and fried green tomato sub and a fried shrimp Po Boy. Such items as acorn squash and collard greens are available as side dishes too.
Country fried chicken and country fried steak are other specialties of the house, as well as several entrees that are served during both the lunch and dinner hours.
