Harris Teeter announced Friday that a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 22 as part of a grand opening ceremony for its newest store in Matthews, North Carolina. Harris Teeter is probably using flyer printing and poster printing to make the local residents know that the event is taking place so that customers and neighbors will have the opportunity to meet the new management team of the store and experience the difference of the Harris Teeter stores.
This newest store in Matthews is an Idlewild Market store, which represents the company’s purchase of the Idlewild Market at the location from Lowe’s Food Stores. Harris Teeter closed the store in June after the purchase in order to remodel it, re-stock it, and train employees. The store will have the Harris Teeter banner when it opens on August 22 at 8:00 am. Covering 51,000 square feet in size, it will be open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm daily.
Harris Teeter aims for its stores to provide customers with an excellent shopping experience, so this new store promises to feature customer service which is very attentive, a variety and selection of meats, fish and famers’ market produce, and a deli and bakery. The new store will also feature a full service floral department, pharmacy, salad and olive bar, and chef-prepared food to go. It will also boast a bar of hot foods, wine and beer, specialty and natural foods, party trays, made to order sandwiches, and rotisserie items. There will be four USCAN checkout lanes and eight regular checkout lanes.
