There are several business-related events taking place during the first day of April in the area, surrounding Matthews and most likely the organizations sponsoring the events are using flyer printing to distribute flyers throughout the business community to bring as many people together at these events, so that they can network and learn about professional opportunities.

First up, the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce will be holding its annual meeting today with an update on the business climate in Charlotte. Speakers will include City of Charlotte manager Ron Carlee, Charlotte Chamber president Bob Morgan, and Mecklenburg County manager Dena Diorio. Beginning at 8:00 am, it will take place at the Charlotte Chamber – Belk Action Center.

Moving towards midday, the Southwest Chapter of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Power Up Challenge luncheon. Local entrepreneurs and those owning small businesses will present information on how their companies can help growing the economy of Charlotte with their entrepreneurial skills and innovations. It is a competition for a cash prize and in-kind services and will be held at the Crowne Plaza Charlotte Executive Park, starting at 11:30 am.

Finally, The Matthews Chamber of Commerce will be holding its Greater Matthews Business Expo at the Carmel Baptist Church on the Pineville-Matthews Road in the late afternoon.
