February 8, 2012 by Mark
The Greensboro Chamber of Commerce is giving its members a chance to network with one another while learning something new.
Starting early on February 16th, the Chamber will be hosting a morning event called “The Latest Trends & Success Stories in Social Marketing” as part of its “Tech Thursdays Series”. In an attempt to encourage local professionals to start making the most out of the Internet, this presentation will be discussing social media and how companies can use it to gain exposure and generate leads. Taken from the site, this event is being explained as follows:
“Facebook, LinkedIN, Google+, Circles, Likes, Connections…it’s enough to make your head spin. But what’s the latest trends, what’s working and what’s not. What should you be doing and how are other companies realizing success? What metrics should you measure? And what does success look like?
Join us at the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce Tech Thursday program for an update on the latest trends and success stories in Social Marketing.” (sic.)
Going from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, this event will be nothing less than informative.
Stepping past digital business cards and technology for a minute, there’s a Business After Hours event that’s also taking place on the 16th. Beginning at 5:00 pm and expected to continue for a couple of hours, this is one of those meet-ups where business card printing will be needed.
With online registration available for both of these free events, Greensboro business owners have nothing to lose by signing up.
