In response to an increased demand for its mattress ticking fabric, CT Nassau, a producer of mattress ticking fabrics and mattress tape in North Carolina, recently announced that it will be expanding its manufacturing plant in Burlington. Most likely the company is turning to a variety of printing services to make those in the area aware of these additional facilities.

The company plans to make an overall investment of over $4m in the Burlington plant. About $1.5 million will be used to add 37,000 square feet to the plant, which is 41,500 square feet in size. It has already spent $1.8m on new machinery to bring about full capacity, and will spend another $750,000 towards more equipment this year. There have been 10 employees added to the plant over the past year and a half.

According to vice-president of manufacturing for CT Nassau, Carl Carpenter, the company is excited about the opportunities this expansion provides in the marketplace. He adds that it will enable the company to be better able to respond the demands of the market and the needs of its customers.

In addition to its plant in Burlington, which produces over 80,000 yards of mattress fabrics on a weekly basis, the company has a plant in Alamance that measures 75,000 square feet in size and produces six million yards of mattress fabric a week. Between the two plants, CT Nassau employees 110 people.
