Fuquay-Varina not waiting until summer for golf
February 5, 2017 by Max
Fuquay-Varina’s Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a virtual golf Pebble Beach 21-Man Scramble this month. The three-day event will have 40 pairs vying for prizes.
A random draw will divide the teams into four flights. Each flight winning team will play an additional nine holes in the championship round on the last day. The event will be using Captain’s Choice format, which means that both members of the team tee off. Then they both shoot from the farthest ball location.
There will be a chipping contest and a putting contest. The chipping contest has a $5 entry fee and the winner will receive the pot which starts at $50. The putting contest also costs $5 to enter. The winner and three of their friends get two hours of HD golf. Each member of the winning team will receive up to six hours of HD Simulator time and one month of membership at the Precision Golf Center Birdie Club.
With golf being played at a leisurely place, this will likely be a good occasion to treat as a networking event. Guests may want to update their digital business cards before attending.
The event will be February 16 through 19 at the Precision Golf Center, 6109 NC 55, Suite 113, which can be found in the Fuquay Sports Center.
