Fuquay-Varina all set for sledging

Johnson Subaru of Cary will be hosting its sixth annual Snow Day toward the end of January. Family and friends from around the area, including Fuquay-Varina, are invited to have some snowy fun.
The new location, complete with more ramps, will allow room for more sleds this year. There will also be fewer sledders in each of the four time periods. Each ticket will allow the sledder to enjoy one hour on both hills. Tickets include the use of a Snow My Yard sled. This year, all riders must have the $8 tickets even if there will be more than one rider per sled.
Registration is required. Participants will check in at the designated check-in tents at least 30 minutes before their session start times and receive wristbands that indicate their sledding time slot.
The sledding is not recommended for little ones under two years of age as the runs will be fast. Kids under four may have an adult riding with them, but both riders will need to purchase a ticket.
Pictures of all the action would no doubt make touching additions to the area’s visitor’s guide brochures.
The fun will start at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 21. It will end around 3:00 pm at Waverly Place 302 Colonades Way, Cary. The event will be near CineBistro in the parking lot across the street from Chick-fil-A in Cary.
