Fuquay Varina 2016 Haunted Trail to have two sessions
October 5, 2016 by Max
Last year’s Haunted Trail was such a success that the town is bringing it back for the Halloween season again this year. Last year, the event brought in over 1,500 guests.
The first hour of the event will be called Family Fright. During that time, scenes and creatures along the trail will be tamed down and appropriate for younger children. The trail will be during sunlight and will be in the form of a fun walk. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes, and can interact with the creatures along the route.
For the rest of the evening, the zombies, ghosts and other Halloween creatures will turn up the heat for the Full Fright. Organizers warn that this will be a much scarier event, so those who dare to walk the trail need to be warned. The walk will be in the dark and adults will need to accompany kids ages 10 to 12.
Local photographers may want to get some action shots of people’s reactions to their Halloween encounters for future poster printing.
The Full Fright will be October 15 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Carrol Howard Johnson Environmental Education Park, 301 Wagstaff Road here in town. The line for the Full Fright will begin to form at 6:00 pm. The Family Fright will be earlier in the evening from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
