Fayetteville to host three job fairs

In the upcoming weeks, there will be three job fairs and hiring programs in Fort Bragg and Fayetteville, so there will be plenty of opportunities to have digital business cards at the ready this month.

At the Crown Expo Center on March 26, the 13th annual March to Work Job Fair will be held. It is open to the public and walk-ins and has no charge. Typically, over 3,000 people attend this fair to get a glimpse of the 100 or so businesses.

At the Fort Bragg Club, also on March 26, is a hiring program by Fort Bragg ACAP Center and Futures Inc. Attendees at this fair need to register ahead of time. There are typically about 22 employers in attendance at the fair, which matches the skills and interests of retirees and veterans with the available jobs and the employers in attendance.

The final event, which also takes place at the Crown Expo Center, will be held on March 28 and is the Hiring our Heroes Job Fair. With the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as its promoted and is specifically for those in the military on active duty, veterans, military spouses, and Guard and Reserve members.

Hiring our Heroes spokeswoman, Kim Morton, said that the response from Fayetteville is always good. Many conditional offers are made to people as a result of the event. There is no charge for employers or jobseekers and the number of businesses expecting to attend the event is around 80, according to Morton.
