Fayetteville home to new bakery

The new Burney’s Sweets & More recently held a grand opening of its new bakery in Fayetteville, just off Raeford Road by the All American Freeway.

Featured at Burney’s are a variety of pastries, including doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, and sweet fried croissants, as well as 15-layer chocolate cakes, cheesecakes, and pecan and coconut cream pies. Beverages such as smoothies and coffee are also available for purchase.

Burney’s also offers several types of deli sandwiches, boxed meals, and assorted side dishes.

Jason and Hollie Hairr and Chip and Jana Humphrey are the owners of the new location in Fayetteville. Jason Hairr has previous experience as an operations manager at Chick-fil-A and Chip and Jana Humphrey also own a catering business.

The four decided to open the bakery in late winter and completely renovated a space that was once occupied by the local Republican party in a small strip of retail establishments. According to Jason Hairr, the location was chosen due to its excellent access from many roads and its excellent visibility from the Freeway, as the owner of the shopping area cleared trees on the property that blocked its view.

The owners might consider using some banners to draw attention to the bakery for those who are not familiar with the original Burney’s Sweets & More locations in Elizabethtown and Clinton.
