Wellness fair comes to Rock Hill

Rock Hill residents, and those in nearby Charlotte, can be a little healthier this month.

The ‘Partners in Business Health and Wellness Fair’ will have free cholesterol, BMI, and blood glucose screenings. Individuals can also have their blood pressure taken. This free event gives information about such factors as exercising, eating well, and learning CPR. Families can have their bone density checked and also learn how to properly care for their skin and nails. There will be door prizes too.

In addition to the free screening, there is an ‘Advance Heart Health Risk Assessment Screening’ for $39.95. For this test, fasting is necessary. Participants will be given an assessment from a cardiologist. Furthermore, those interested in this extensive screening need to call 803-329-1234, extension 2, to make an appointment.

The Heart2Heart Foundation, one of the partners of the fair, is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to educating people about heart disease. Established by females, the foundation raises funds to help provide screenings for local women.

It’s likely the organizers have used a banner printing company to make a bold sign to hang in highly populated areas. They could also have flyers made to get the word out.

The wellness fair takes place on March 12 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Palmetto Room located at 150 East White St in Rock Hill.
