Singing Christmas Tree to entertain families in Charlotte

December 3, 2013 by

Residents in Charlotte have the opportunity to see two festive holiday singing productions this month: The Singing Christmas Tree and The Singing Christmas Tree for Kids.

The former event is in its 59th season. From a large Christmas tree structure, members of the Carolina Voices’ MainStage Choir sing holiday music. During this two-hour production, there will be special vocal performances, puppetry, and aerial dancers. Tickets cost between $10 and $34.

Each year, the production hosts a Sneak Preview event. Social service agencies have the opportunity to obtain free tickets to give to their clients who have physical, mental, and financial challenges. Those interested in this event can call (704) 374-1564 for more information.

The Singing Christmas Tree for Kids, meanwhile, features sing-a-longs, popular holiday children’s music, dancers, and even Santa. The hour long show is perfect for kids between ages three and ten. Tickets cost between $10 and $20. In conjunction with the show, there is also ‘Lunch with Santa’ along with ‘Cookies and Milk with Santa’. These Chik-Fil-A sponsored events require separate tickets.

The Singing Christmas Tree is one of the most popular holiday shows in the area. It is likely the event has been publicized using items such as flyers and posters from local printing companies. This is an ideal time for companies to utilize printing services to make posters for display at the event.

The Singing Christmas Tree takes place on December 14th and 15th with various showtimes, while the children’s production takes place on December 14. Both holiday productions can be seen at Ovens Auditorium located at 2700 E. Independence Blvd in Charlotte.
