Local artists gathering for fall market
September 4, 2013 by Max
To celebrate the coming of autumn, the Atherton Mill and Market is hosting its annual First Friday Fall Art Market. In addition to the Atherton Market’s usual assortment of locally-sourced produce and sundries, dozens of vendors are offering their wares and on-site services.
Charlotte’s artists will have pieces both on display and for sale. Many area craftspeople will have everything from trinkets to clothing for visitors to peruse and purchase. It is possible to interact with the artists and crafters themselves in order to have original art created. Food items for the whole family from the Home Plate food truck, as well as cocktails for adults from Dilworth Billiards, are available to enjoy.
Regional businesses are encouraged to participate and help spread the word. Exchanging printed marketing material with Atherton Market will go some way towards ensuring a business can have its name remembered by the citizens of Charlotte. Poster printing can enable residents to see a business’s message tie in with the Atherton Mill and Market. Strategically placing posters near the instant photo booths and queues for the popular foodstuffs will make for maximum impact.
The First Friday Fall Arts Market begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm this Friday, September 6th. Charlotte’s residents can join the festivities by arriving the Atherton Market at 2104 South Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina 28203. Parking and admission are free to all ages.
