Charlotte indulges in sweet culinary adventure

Chocolate and wine lovers can celebrate Valentine’s Day with a culinary experience dubbed the “Chocolate Adventure.”

Collaborative Ventures, a business networking organization, will host this chocolate and wine pairing event.

Guests will be given the chance to sample an array of hors d’oeuvres. In addition, Chef Altonnia “Tony” Wilkins will create a wide range of delectable desserts such as chocolate covered cherries and chocolate coconut macaroons. The desserts will be matched with the perfect wine for an unforgettable dining experience.

Along with delicious sweets, guests will also be treated to live music from the Michael Porter Trio jazz band. Dancing and raffle prizes are some of the other highlights at the event. Through January 31, tickets will cost $60 per person and go up to $75 on February 1. Tickets can be purchased on the Collaborative Venture’s website.

It’s likely the organizers have been busy promoting the event in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Local print companies may have created flyers to distribute throughout the city. Using red or pink paper could help attract more residents to the Valentine’s Day event.

The event will be held at The Roof with a View, a venue on the 5th floor of the historic Cedar Hill Building, located on 800 W. Hill Street in Uptown Charlotte. This “Chocolate Adventure” takes place on February 14 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
