Charlotte hosts third annual wine sipping festival

September 6, 2012 by

One of the biggest music, wine, and art shows in Uptown Charlotte will be held next week at the Epicenter, located at 210 E. Trade Street. The fun event is called the Annual Sip & Stroll, and this will be its third annual event. The Epicentre will be filled on all three levels with music, art, and wine for the festival.

The Commons will be the entrance where festival-goers will begin the art walk and then will head upstairs for the kick-off party in the Pavilion area, where appetizers and wine will be served. Some of the artists will be there to mingle with guests. Booths with artwork for sale will be represented, as will more than 40 wine vineyards.

An area specifically reserved for kids will allow the younger family members to enjoy the event with face painting in the kids’ area. The EpiCentre Sip & Stroll will be an excellent opportunity to meet artists and have a taste of award-winning wines. The cost is $20 per person, which includes 2 – 4 ounce pours of wine or eight wine sample tickets, and two-day passes will be available for $30 for each person. A souvenir wine glass comes with the two-day pass purchase.

Live music and live art will provide ambiance to the reception. The third floor will have interactive art and wine classes, where attendees will learn to taste wine like a professional.

All set for September 14 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, print companies have probably been hired for flyer printing for promoting the annual event. For more information, call 704-688-5980 or visit the EpiCentre website.
