Charlotte checkers playing Chicago Wolves at home on the 15th

Local sports fans will have something to cheer about on December 15th when the Charlotte Checkers play the Chicago Wolves.

If last season’s numbers are anything to go by, the fact that the Checkers played their way to 3rd place in the Eastern Conference is an impressive feat. The Checkers also enjoyed increased attendance in the 2010-2011 season and it looks like these past trends are set to continue this year.

Of course, nobody should expect the Chicago Wolves to just give this game away. Although the 2010-2011 season wasn’t their strongest, Chicago is a team that has a long history of winning.

As usual, the game will be held at Time Warner Cable Arena and is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. Those who are already used to attending won’t need to see any poster printing to know that the tickets are going to be priced very reasonably. With prices currently ranging from $12 to $50, this is an ideal event for those who want to have an affordable Thursday evening.

It doesn’t end there however. Fans will also have a couple of promotions to look forward to at the game. Starting with the “Wet Your Whistle” Weekday special, 12 oz. beer is going to be sold at $3.50. Another fun opportunity for those planning to attend is the fact that the 15th is also going to feature “Rock Night” with respect to College Night.

The Checkers game is an excellent opportunity for fans to come out, support the team, and have a great time doing it.
