Those who love to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day are in luck, because the 18th annual ‘St. Patrick’s Day Parade’ and ‘Charlotte Goes Green Festival’ will likely make people embrace Irish culture.

The free festival will feature Irish music, live bands, dance performances and
bagpipers. Children will be treated to kid-friendly activities. Everyone should enjoy the delicious Irish food and drinks available. The event is one of the most popular in the area for St. Patrick’s Day.

The parade will feature floats, bands, music, drill groups, and cheer squads. Various organizations, businesses, and community members may also be in the parade. Anyone who is interested in being in the parade may apply online. Potential vendors can call Frank Hart at 803-802-1678 for more information.

Another plus of the festival is a contest in which one duo will win a trip to Ireland. The winners will receive airfare and a hotel stay. The winner must be at the festival during the drawing at 4:30 pm to claim the prize.

Residents in Charlotte are encouraged to take part in this cultural celebration. It is likely flyer printing services were utilized to promote this yearly event, and vendors have already probably used brochure printers to make attractive handouts for the festival.

The festivities will take place on March 15 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The parade will begin at 11:00 am on Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte.
