Cary offers a drink for a good cause

In just a few weeks, there will be a unique Wine Walk that will give participants the opportunity to not only drink and be merry, but also to demonstrate their support of a pertinent cause.

Waverly Place shopping complex that will be the site of the event, which is sponsored by Johnson Subaru of Cary, McNutt Orthodontics, and Waltonwood. For a $10 donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, supporters will receive a sampling glass and a passport to the event. Participants will then be able to walk around the mall sampling wine and taking advantage of special promotions and promotional products that are only available to supporters of the fund.

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in demonstrations and view art that will be exhibited in participating stores. CineBistro, Color Me Mine, Elegant Stitches, Gigis Cupcakes, Shower Me with Love, The Joint Chiropractivc, Violets Boutique, and Whisk are just a few of the many participating retailers. The event organizers and participating stores might benefit from banners that promote the event and provide direction for participants. There will also be live music to accent the festive event and approximately $300 worth of prizes will be given out.

All this is happening on October 28, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at 307 Colonades Way in Cary.
