Cary is already abuzz with the recent and exciting news that the 2013 Women’s Division I Soccer Championship is going to be held at the WakeMed Soccer Park.
Once again the school hosting this event is going to be Campbell University; however, the school is not going to be alone in its support. The events will also be supported by the Town of Cary and the Capital Area Soccer League. Even the Greater Raleigh Convention & Visitors Bureau will have a hand in the support.
By being a host of the tournament, for the sixth year, Campbell University is setting a notable record. The National Collegiate Athletic Association made the announcement on May 2, 2012. They also announced that Villanova University would be hosting the 2013 Men’s Division I Soccer Championship. It is not only the soccer fans who are getting excited about the events because businesses throughout the whole town, especially restaurants and hotels, are set to financially benefit from the championship, and could therefore use poster printing and banner printing to maximize in the promotion of the championship.
NCAA officials expressed their pleasure in being able to have the men’s tournament sponsored in a new city, and they also expressed their delight in having the women’s championship once again hosted in a landmark location. The women’s teams will vie for the championship on December 6 and 8, 2013. The men’s championships will be played a week later in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
