Snellville foodies set to celebrate

Snellville gourmands may wish to make plans now to attend a local event that will showcase the talents of area chefs.

This event, which will take place in the fall, will see many local restaurateurs offering small samples of the food they serve in their establishments. To help make it easy for people to sample as many of the eateries as possible, each person who participates will be issued a “passport” that lists all the different food service providers that are involved in the event. A print company will be able to supply branded ad specialties that can be given out during a community celebration such as this.

While the food may be the main focus of the festivities, there will be lots more going on as well. Jazz bands will be providing live entertainment, and those who attend are encouraged to put on their dancing shoes and join in the spirit of the occasion.

The art lovers in the crowd will also be able to enjoy the activities that have been planned with them in mind. There will be sidewalk art, sip and paints, and art and craft vendors. Sam Roper will be facilitating a character-drawing workshop, and there will be trackless train rides and other fun for the kids.

Taste of Snellville will be hitting the Towne Green on September 17, and everyone is welcome. Those interested in learning more about this event can do so on its website.
