Local golfers invited to hit the links for local kids

Snellville golfers who want to make a difference for children in the local area are reminded to save the date for the United Craftsman Children’s Show Drive Inc. charity golf day this spring.

The event is being hosted by the organization, and is one of its largest fundraisers. Those who participate will be able to enjoy a day out on the links, and they will also have an opportunity to meet Freddy Lane, Tim Worley, Matt McCormick, and Troy Sadowski who are well known UGA Bulldogs.

The entry fee, which has been set at $150, includes the use of a cart, green fees, Chick-Fil-A biscuits, range time, range balls, and use of a practice green. At the end of the day, a closing banquet will be held, and graphic design can be used to create awards and other items that can be presented to the participants of an event like this.

Monies raised through this activity will be put to use in purchasing new shoes, socks, and a meal out for children who are living in a children’s home. According to the event’s organizers, this will be the first time many of these kids will have had a chance to shop for shoes or have a meal out.

The gold classic has been set for May 9 at The Trophy Club of Apalachee, which is located in Dacula. Anyone who would like to find out more is invited to visit the event’s Patch listing.
