River festivities about to flow in

October 30, 2013 by

Savannah will once again twinkle in the downtown Historic River Street area in time for the festive season. The Rousakis Plaza will be alive with activities, including art exhibitors, stocking stuffers, holiday crafts, and gifts.

During ‘Christmas on the River’, music and entertainment provided by locals will be viewable all weekend on the Arbor Stage. Savannah’s Lighted Christmas Parade will begin at 5:30 pm on west River Street and will proceed throughout the city center, concluding in Ellis Square.

Welcomed during the day will be the official arrival of everyone’s favorite jolly guy, Santa Claus. This family-friendly event is enhanced by the many vendors offering all of the holiday goodies anticipated. Vendors are advised that all items must be original work and meet the rules and terms of the event, including providing photographs of each item to be sold.

Vendors frequently require the services of local print companies in producing materials for an outdoor event. Business card printing is also a project often handled by the printer, since both traditional and digital business cards are likely to be distributed from the vendor booths to aid brand awareness and potential future sales.

Applications to be a vendor are available online and should be completed and submitted without delay, as the deadline to submit is tomorrow, October 31.

The Savannah event will take place December 6 beginning at 4:00 pm with the Lighted Christmas Parade on December 7. Admission is free. More information can be found via the event website.
