Roswell’s firework display to make a bang this week
July 1, 2013 by Sarah
It will not have escaped the attention of many folks in Roswell that July Fourth is fast approaching. Once again, the city will be putting on a show to mark this most American of days. Full of fun, festivities, and the annual fireworks, it is set to go with a real bang in 2013.
The highlight of the day, as it has been for more than a decade, is the Roswell Annual Fireworks Extravaganza. Now in its 12th year, the fireworks will be much anticipated of course, and banner printing and poster printing has been in full swing for the event for many weeks.
However, the day is also full of a great deal more family fun. Starting from 6:00 pm, the entertainment gets under way with Big Biscuit taking to the stage. Shortly after, at 7.30 pm, will be a performance from Banks & Shane.
The kids will likely enjoy the great free music of course but, if they do get bored, there is much going on.
There will be a carnival on offer, and a whole number of inflatables for them to tire themselves out on. There will also be the big ending, as a full-on 30-minute firework display gets started. Due to start just after sunset, at 9:00 pm, it is set to be a huge one this year.
Families are invited to bring chairs and a picnic to the event, though there will be reasonably priced food and drink on offer from local companies.
Taking place at Roswell High School once again, folks are reminded that it is a no smoking or alcohol event.
