Roswell gift giving continues into the New Year
January 10, 2013 by Sarah
Fortunately for Roswell residents, there is something positive they can do this year with any presents they may have received this year that may not have been to their taste.
The start of 2013 sees many places across the town accepting unwanted presents to be used for local charities. With poster and leaflet printing likely to advertise the events, collections of unwanted clothing, toys, and food are also taking place across the local area.
Naturally, many of these drives take place through the year, such as North Fulton Community Charities and Thrift Store.
An item most particularly sought after is toys because, regrettably, there are many kids that miss out at Christmas in the Georgia area, without toys to unwrap on the big day. For such unfortunates, there are drives such as Toys for Tots.
Gladly accepting new and unwrapped toys, the North Atlanta Marine Toys for Tots Foundation can be contacted at any time.
Christmas 2012 was likely a great year for many folks in receiving the latest gadgetry. For these recipients, one drive more than happy to take old cell phones and notebooks is the Roswell Recycling Center. Able to reuse most electronic items, this is another facility which is open year round.
There are also many local businesses arranging collections of unwanted items from their staff and customers, so it is well worth looking out for advertising across the town.
The festive season is a great time to give love and gifts to loved ones, but it is even better to remember those not so fortunate too, even after the decorations come down.
