Shoppers and job seekers alike are going to have some needs satisfied thanks to the addition of three new retail stores in Fischer Crossings, Georgia. Area developer Scott Seymour confirmed that T.J. Maxx, Michaels and Home Goods are finalizing leases to occupy over 73,000 square feet of space. According to Seymour, the stores will be situated on the northeast intersection of Highway 34 and Fischer Road. T.J. Maxx and Home Goods will share a 52,000 square foot building while a building comprising 21,000 square feet will house the Michaels store.

The entry of those three stores into the community is expected to sway smaller retailers into relocating operations to Fischer Crossings. The incorporation of those retailers is expected to add an additional 50,000 square feet of commercial stores. Once the leases are executed, construction is expected to commence on the three anchor stores in February. Seymour expects the stores to open in spring of 2013 with the smaller retailers opening later in the year or early 2014.

Michaels is an arts and crafts store frequented by an assortment of consumers ranging from construction workers to teachers to hobbyists. Both T.J. Maxx and Home Goods are subsidiaries of TJX Incorporated. T.J. Maxx is one of the nation’s leading retailers of discounted designer clothing. Home Goods offers unique merchandise and designer goods for the home.

Fischer Crossings is situated west of Peachtree City. Printing companies in the area will have the opportunity to help these new businesses set up by providing documents and promotional materials for retailers entering the area, such as brochure printing and other support services.
