Food the Friday focus this month
April 2, 2014 by Mark
McDonough residents who feel overwhelmed with the food choices in Henry County have the option to try a variety of local culinary delights all in one night. Moreover, they can do so at a reasonable price while supporting a good cause.
For $20 adults can try out the best that 25 local restaurants have to offer as part of the ‘Taste of Henry’ evening. With taste-size portions of entrees, appetizers, and desserts from a variety of cuisines, the event will offer something to suit everyone.
Seniors over 65 pay only $15 while children aged 3-12 are charged $5. Arriving early pays dividends, since the first 500 attendees will receive a Very Important Taster (VIT) bag. VIT bags are full of exclusive treats provided by various sponsors, vendors, and restaurants.
In addition to good food and company, attendees will be treated to music from local entertainers Melissa Calendar & David Ellis, whose vocal talents will provide ambiance to the event. Best of all they can feel good knowing that 100% of the proceeds benefit A Friend’s House; a home for abandoned, abused and neglected children of Henry County.
Events like this one provide opportunities for the benefiting charity to promote its mission via the use of brochure printers.
The Taste of Henry will take place Friday, April 18, at the Jason T. Harper Event Center from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Center is located in Heritage Park, McDonough.
