Girls and their fathers have February get-together chance

January 31, 2014 by

Fathers and daughters have the opportunity to share some quality time together and enjoy an afternoon filled with entertainment next month. Flyer printing is often a method used by promoters to let residents know about special events like this.

The annual Daddy Daughter Dance is open to girls between the ages of five and twelve years old when accompanied by their fathers. This special afternoon features music, plenty of opportunities to dance, and refreshments. According to the organizers, this year’s theme is ‘Ahoy, Mates’, which suggest some sort of nautical twist is likely to feature in the proceedings.

The dress code for this dance is semi-formal, so daughters and daddies are reminded to bring their dancing shoes and a camera to catch all the action as it unfolds. Space is limited for this function, so advanced registration is a must. Registration forms can be downloaded online through the Mariettta’s Park and Recreation Department.

Tickets for this event are $30 for each father and daughter couplet, and $5 for each additional daughter. The Daddy Daughter Dance will be happening on Sunday, February 10, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at the Mansour Center located at 995 Roswell Street in Marietta, Georgia. To find out more about this dance, or to purchase tickets, visit the Marietta Parks and Recreation Department website or call 770-794-5601.

Parking for this event is free and the registration deadline is February 8, although this will be cut short if 100 couples sign up before then.
