Kohl’s joins ranks of stores opening thru Thanksgiving

Kennesaw folks finding themselves with not a lot to do late in the evening on Thanksgiving will have plenty of opportunity to spend, as Kohl’s has become the latest store to say it will stay open.
Following a host of other stores already announcing business as usual, Kohl’s confirmed it will be open on Thanksgiving evening. With more and more stores signing up to get customers in on the evening of Thanksgiving, it is set to be a big Black Friday for brick-and-mortar stores.
In Kennesaw, and throughout the evening, all Kohl’s stores are to open their doors for 28 consecutive hours. Poster printing and all other kinds of printed corporate literature will no doubt display the opening hours of November 28 from 8:00 pm through to midnight on November 29.
The news follows the announcement by Macy’s, which made coast-to-coast headlines. The New York based store will open Thanksgiving Day for the very first time in its 150 year history.
Announcing the marathon opening, Kohl’s’ Michelle Grass said:
“Shopping over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend has become a much-anticipated tradition enjoyed with friends and family.”
The chief customer officer, addressing the press in a news release, continued:
“As many customers are eager to get a jumpstart on their shopping, we are opening our stores at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day as a convenience to our customers who want to make Kohl’s their first stop.
With so many stores opening over Thanksgiving now, it is likely that many Kennesaw folk will indeed shop until they drop.
