Preparation is well underway for the Annual Big Shanty Festival, which will take place in Kennesaw for the 37th time.

Featuring thousands of participants and hundreds of stalls, print companies in the area are no doubt working hard to deliver a great day.

With nearly forty years of success behind it, the Big Shanty is always a popular event for the local area. With many visitors coming from in and around Kennesaw, and a good deal further afield, it is always a success.

This year’s festival will see over 200 booths involved, including stands from artisans and crafters as well as many local companies; there will be something to interest everyone. Those taking part will likely be getting poster printing and stationery printing in order early to ensure success.

As well as the stalls, there will be plenty of live entertainment. Spread across a number of stages, there will be music, comedy, and all manner of activities. The kids won’t be left out either, with special areas available for younger visitors.

Food will also play a significant part in the Big Shanty, with more than 30 vendors offering tasty meals and drinks.

It is expected that some 70,000 people will attend the two-day event, which starts with a parade through town from 9.30 am on Saturday. With local high school bands taking part in the parade, visitors are warned that road closures will be in operation across the weekend.

The 2013 Annual Big Shanty arrives on Saturday April 20 and runs through Sunday April 21.
