British Soccer camp returns to Kennesaw

A week-long British Soccer camp will get under way towards the end of this month, making it the 13th year straight the camp has come to Kennesaw.

A joint operation between Kennesaw Parks & Recreation and private venture Challenger Sports, the initiative will get going at Adams Park on July 29. It will run through August 2. Print companies in Duluth will likely be working on the advertising of the week shortly.

Running from Monday through Friday, it will help kids in the local area to get to grips with soccer, known as ‘football’ in the UK. Coached by professionals from Britain, they will be able to see just how the Brits play this game they cherish so fondly.

It is a full-on for course for participants too.

As well as daily foot skills development, the British coaches will deliver technical lessons too. Tactics will also be practiced, while there will be gameplay in a tournament style as well.

The British love of etiquette will be covered too, as the kids will learn about respect and responsibility on the field of play, and how to be a good sportsperson.

While a clear British flavor will be in the air, the Camp World Cup will ensure many cultures are celebrated at the event. Flags will be designed, whilst there may even be banner printing needed as the kids learn cheers from countries from across the globe.

Suitable for all ages from age 3 through 15, each camper will also get a camp T-shirt and soccer ball to take home.
