Local food providers in platinum contest at Fayette Community Expo 2012
September 17, 2012 by James
This year’s Community Expo is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with more than 150 exhibitors presenting a booth. With over 2,000 visitors also expected to attend, it will be a great chance for local businesses to advertise what it is they do in and around Fayetteville.
A popular event each year, and the largest trade show in the county, the poster and banner printing presses have probably been in huge demand, not least because Minuteman Press Peachtree City is one of the sponsors of the Community Expo 2012.
Delta Community Credit Union is the title sponsor, with the event getting backing from other local companies including Humana, Comcast, 92.5 The Bear, and Studio 25 Productions.
Presented by the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, this year’s event is likely to eclipse the 2011 running – itself a record breaker. There are highlights aplenty this year, though one of the most eagerly anticipated will be the Platinum Plate Award.
A number of local food providers are competing for this year’s title, each of them showcasing their best dishes for consideration.
Visitors will be able to select their favorite exhibitor from the likes of Majestic Cuisine, Great American Cookies, and Sister’s Sweet Creations. Online voting is also possible ahead of the event.
Admission is completely free, with it offering something for everyone, from product demonstrations and health screenings, to networking opportunities. Business card printing might therefore be necessary.
The expo takes place from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Road, Fayetteville on Tuesday, September 18.
