Vendors sought for Duluth tree lighting

August 30, 2016 by

The city of Duluth will once again be holding its annual tree lighting this holiday season, and vendors that are interested in taking part are asked to submit their applications.

The function, which is considered by the city to be one of its premiere events, includes inflatables, games, face painting, and ornament making for the kids, as well as music, a visit from Santa, and the lighting of the tree itself. It is suitable for all ages, and there is no charge to attend.

Applications are now being accepted from vendors who are interested in setting up a booth or other display, or selling snacks such as hot chocolate, candy, honey, produce, baked goods, or other food items. Those who would like to do so will need to complete the online application and follow the policies that have been set up by the city for businesses, individuals and organizations specifically for special events.

As a way of showing appreciation to local enterprises, those in possession of a valid business license for the city will be given priority when choosing which ones will be allowed to participate. A company that prints brochures and other promotional materials will be able to create ones for businesses to use during a special celebration such as this.

More information about the event, which will be held on the Duluth Town Green from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on December 3rd, can be found by visiting its website.
