Spooktacular events come Duluth’s way

October 3, 2012 by

With the spookiest night of the year just a few creepy weeks around the corner, families in Duluth will already be getting ready and have a great event to look forward to.

Pumpkins will be being carved, baked, and put into pies. Costumes will be under construction and supplies of blood, candy, and beers are also no doubt being taken care of.

Thankfully, the party of the year is also well in hand, with ‘Halloween on the Green’ once again returning to the city.

A highlight for many of the families in Duluth, poster printing is already underway to advertise this fun holiday. Again taking place in the center of the city, the annual event will be full of creepy characters, ghoulish ghosts, and nasties of the night.

As well as the costume contest, though, there is also a great deal more on offer. With fun activities for kids and all the family, it is an event in which everyone can take part.

A returning highlight will be a spooky symphony put on by the Duluth High School Orchestra. Other fun and frightening goings-on will be seen at the haunted theater, whilst face painting and inflatables will also keep the young ones fully occupied in a safe environment.

Food and drink will also be provided, with many seasonal favorites making an appearance. From candy apples and pumpkin pie to cotton candy, the tables will be heaving and creaking. Then again, that could just be the annual haunting coming to life, of course.

The fun and frights get under way in Downtown Duluth at 2:00 pm, running through 7:00 pm, on Saturday, October 27 on the Town Green.
